“Bah! Humbug!” is a lighthearted ditty, loosely inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. It captures the stoic grumpiness of Ebenezer Scrooge, while at the same time tinkering with ghostly, supernatural feelings he deals with in the story. The piece moves from a consistent “tight-fisted” attitude at the beginning to a frantic loss of control at the whims of the Christmas ghosts.

A 3-part children’s choir is preferred for this piece, but any 3-part treble choir can suffice. A C-extension for the double bass is also recommended for extra musical stubbornness.
